Precipitation Products
Precipitation products are radar-derived outputs designed to quantify and map precipitation with high accuracy. They convert radar measurements into estimates of precipitation intensity and accumulation over time. Advanced variants incorporate specific differential phase (KDP) and attenuation estimates, and can be further calibrated using rain gauge measurements to improve accuracy.
We can provide a wide range of QPE products. These QPE products use not only reflectivity but also the corrections by KDP or attenuation at low altitudes as input. The users can also specify the rain accumulation time which can provide a good guidance of flash flood detection.
This product combines a user-selectable method of QPE with rain gauges using regression kriging interpolation method.
