At Meteopress, we build technology with real-world impact. We’re looking for people who take ownership, enjoy solving practical challenges, want to be part of a team that builds things that matter, and aren’t afraid of a few clouds along the way.

As a Software Engineer for Radar Systems, you’ll develop software that powers, monitors and integrates our radar systems deployed around the world. Your focus will be on control systems, diagnostics, monitoring and solving engineering challenges at the intersection of software and hardware.

What you’ll do

  • Develop Python software for radar systems and related technologies
  • Build tools for radar configuration, control and diagnostics
  • Work on data collection, monitoring, logging and alerting systems
  • Integrate software with hardware and solve communication challenges between system components
  • Participate in the design, testing and bring-up of new devices and control units
  • Help integrate new radar technologies into existing systems
  • Test and validate new solutions both in software and on real hardware
  • Collaborate with RF, hardware, AI and meteorology teams on new products
  • Solve practical engineering problems across software, electronics and hardware

What we’re looking for

  • Strong Python development skills
  • Good Linux knowledge (we primarily use standard server distributions such as Debian)
  • Interest in hardware and system-level engineering
  • Ability to understand how software interacts with physical devices and real-world systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical engineering mindset
  • Willingness to connect devices, troubleshoot issues, perform measurements and get things working
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Working proficiency in English

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Embedded systems and microcontrollers (STM32)
  • Raspberry Pi or similar platforms
  • TCP/IP, serial communication or industrial communication protocols
  • Monitoring, logging and diagnostic systems
  • Experience with measurement equipment and laboratory testing
  • Electronics knowledge, hardware design or hardware bring-up

What you’ll get

  • Work on radar technology used around the world
  • A role at the intersection of software, hardware and system integration
  • Direct impact on products developed entirely in-house
  • ESOP
  • Small team, direct communication, no unnecessary bureaucracy
  • Optional travel for radar installations
  • 60% home office
  • Free lunch on office days
  • On-site gym
