As a Senior CNC Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll join the team developing some of the world’s most advanced weather radars, as well as next-generation phased-array radar technologies. You will first assess our needs and help select the right CNC equipment, then take ownership of manufacturing and prototyping RF components, including SSPAs (Solid State Power Amplifiers). You’ll work closely with experienced RF and hardware engineers, with real influence over how our CNC machining capability is built and shaped. Interested?
What you’ll do
- Evaluate and select suitable CNC equipment, including an assessment of the current state
- Full setup, operation, and maintenance of the CNC mill
- Independently process design documentation and drawings from the engineering/HW team
- Manufacture prototypes — primarily SSPA modules and other RF components
- Establish and continuously optimize manufacturing processes and workflows
- Share responsibility for production quality and precision
What we’re looking for
- Several years of experience operating CNC machines, ideally multi-axis, including independent setup and programming
- Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. FreeCAD or equivalent)
- Ability to independently evaluate and recommend appropriate machinery
- Experience manufacturing precision parts, RF components or SSPAs a strong plus
- Ability to take full ownership of the process, from design to finished prototype
